Choose what belongs in this trip
A saved list often contains more ideas than one visit can accommodate. Before exporting, decide what your companions need to see. For a weekend away, that might be two museums, a few lunch options and the café near your hotel. The places you're saving for another trip can stay out of this copy.
Open your list in Google Maps on a computer, launch ExportMyMap and select the places to include. Give the export a recognizable title, such as “Lisbon weekend: places we'd like to visit.”
If you've added personal notes, check them before leaving Include your notes on. A reminder about which entrance to use may help everyone. A private comment about a friend's budget probably shouldn't go in the group document.
Keep the details on your phone or on paper
Choose PDF to download your shortlist. The document includes place names and available addresses, with other details such as phone numbers, websites and ratings where Google supplies them. Links back to Google Maps let your companions open individual places when they have a connection.
Save the PDF on your phone before leaving. You can read the downloaded document without a connection, although opening its web links or getting directions requires the appropriate app and connectivity. It doesn't calculate a route or assign activities to days; those decisions are still yours.

Send a link when that suits the group
You can also create an ExportMyMap Share Link for the selected places and paste it into your group chat. Recipients can open the page in a browser without installing the extension.
If everyone is already adding ideas to the same Google Maps list, its own sharing and collaboration features may be enough. Send a fresh copy when plans change
A PDF and an ExportMyMap Share Link capture the selection you exported. Later edits to the Google Maps list don't update either copy automatically.
If you replace a restaurant or drop a stop, export again and send the new file or link. Check opening times and booking requirements close to the visit, too. Details copied into a document may have changed since you saved them.
